CPOE

Completion Percentage Over Expected isolates a quarterback's accuracy from his offensive scheme.

If a QB throws a checkdown with a 90% expected completion probability, and completes it, he gets +0.10 expected completions. If he hits a tight-window deep shot with a 30% expected probability, he gets +0.70. Over a season, this tells us who is actually accurate versus who is just throwing screens.
